Unit of Measure for Atlas Polyiso Quotations

Dear Valued Customers,

Traditionally, the unit of measure that is most recognized in the roofing industry has been the "Square" (1 Square = 100 Square Feet). Both steep and low-sloped roofs have been and still are measured in number of squares.

Recently, however, an awkward trend has developed in the industry whereby, pricing for roof insulation is being quoted in dollars per Board Foot ($/BF) rather than dollars per Square ($/SQ). Orders, however, are still placed in squares and not in board feet quantities. No one is quite certain why this trend persists. Atlas has decided to return to the long-standing method by providing all of our roof insulation quotes in dollars per Square. The only exception to this will be for tapered insulation panels.
