2014 proved to be a busy year for Atlas Roofing. From a comprehensive schedule of cross-country events, to technological updates to some of our most popular apps and online resources, there was no shortage of happenings all around the company. As we move toward 2015, we're already gearing up for another robust year—but first, let's look back at some of this year's highlights.

"Four of A Kind Wins" Makes a Splash at the International Roofing Expo in Las Vegas

In February, Atlas headed to Vegas for the 2014 International Roofing Expo (IRE), with an appropriately themed presence, "Four of a Kind Wins." As contractors already know, this concept was more than just a play on words, it was created to showcase the four components of Atlas' Signature Select Roofing System, as well as highlighting Atlas’s HP Shingle Technology.

We were also excited to tout our Techni-Flo™ Roof Ventilation System at the IRE. The Techni-Flo™ Ventilation System is engineered to allow consistent and balanced air ventilation intake and exhaust airflow underneath the covering of a steep-slope roofing system.

Atlas Hits the Pavement With "The House Always Wins" Contractor Road Show

The "Four of a Kind" theme displayed at IRE was also part of the 2014 Contractor Road Show, "The House Always Wins." This cross-country series of events was designed to demonstrate to contractors how to make the most of Atlas' apps, online tools, product lines, companion materials, and other sales tools to help contractors across the country maximize their earning potential and help streamline their business. We'd like to thank each and every individual who made the time to attend one of our shows, and hope that your experience was fantastic.

ProAPP™ now better than ever

On the tech side of business, our ProAPP™ for mobile devices got an upgrade and was also featured at the IRE in Vegas. Our ProAPP now includes Eagleview® Technologies Quick Squares Reports to provide contractors in the Atlas PRO program with precise roof measurements that can be stored digitally. Contractors can now also put the Atlas Shingle Visualizer, a component of the ProAPP, right on their own company website.

Select Your Roof moves to iOS8

The Shingle Visualizer is a part of Atlas' Select Your Roof app, another popular tech tool that underwent a metamorphosis. Its operating system was updated to be compatible with Apple's blockbuster iOS 8, their biggest iOS release ever. The Select Your Roof App is a must-have visualization tool for homeowners considering new roofing styles and shingle colors. This free, two-component app takes the hand wringing out of choosing and purchasing a new shingle roof.

The first component is called the Shingle Visualizer. The Shingle Visualizer allows users to pick Spanish, Colonial, Cape Cod, and various other common housing styles. Next, users can select from an array of Atlas shingle styles and shingle colors. The app allows homeowners to mix and match as much as they want to find that perfect combination!

The second component of the Select Your Roof app is My Roof Color Gauge. This offers the same features of the Shingle Visualizer but with one added benefit: Homeowners can use pictures of their own homes—taken with their iPad—instead of pre-selected image styles. There is simply no more accurate way to envision the outcome of a particular roofing system than with the app.

New Products and New Website Debuted at AIA Expo In Chicago

In July, the AIA Convention 2014 in Chicago was noted as the most informative and enjoyable convention to date and Atlas Wall CI was there to confirm. The wall insulation division of Atlas Roofing Corp. introduced a company website redesign, as well as the launch of two new products: Infinish ES and Infinish ES2 for interior wall applications.

Attendees experienced the new Atlas website on an oversized interactive monitor. Thanks to well-developed logic, a smooth, crisp layout, and simple navigation, AtlasRoofing.com is one complete company site, while at the same time a comprehensive web presence for each of its six divisions. The destination of each visit is determined by a single click on the home page.

The new Infinish ES and Infinish ES2 are intended for use as an interior insulating finish on interior walls only, or interior ceilings only, without requiring a code approved thermal barrier (approval per NFPA 286) in certain building types. This interior wall insulation is recommended for use in both commercial and residential applications due to the Class A Fire Rating. The booth also displayed life-size wall structures to showcase the entire line of Wall CI products, which also includes EnergyShield®, Rboard®, EnergyShield® PRO, and EnergyShield® PRO 2.

Thanks to everyone for helping make 2014 such a successful year for Atlas Roofing—and get ready for an even better 2015!
